Sodom was the most wicked city of its generation. Lot dwelt there. God destroyed it with fire and brimstone after Abraham interceded. Lot and his two daughters were rescued. Lot’s wife looked back and became a pillar of salt.
Sodom became the ultimate symbol of divine judgment on immorality.
