Details
At the second feast, the king again asked Esther for her petition. Esther asked for her life and the life of her people, revealing that they had been sold to destruction. When Ahasuerus demanded to know who had dared do this, Esther identified Haman.
The king left in wrath, and Haman fell before Esther to plead for his life. When the king returned, Haman’s posture was interpreted as another offense, and he was hanged on the gallows prepared for Mordecai.
